Job Title:  Office Cleaner

Department/Location:  Tunis, Tunisia

Reports To:  Finance & Administration Manager

Type:  Regular Full-Time

Classification:  Non-exempt

 

Overview:  IBTCI is seeking an office cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of its office in Tunis, Tunisia.  The incumbent will perform common household tasks to ensure a clean work place environment.  This position is open to Tunisian Nationals only.

 

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:  

  • Assess the cleanliness and hygiene situation of the office and detect current and/or potential issues.
  • Maintain appropriate cleanliness of the facility and equipment.
  • Inform management of the need for extensive repairs and/or other major renovations in the office/work areas.
  • Perform routine sterilization procedures such as boiling rugs and other cloths.
  • Manage the reception desk by welcoming guests/clients and directing them to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain adequate supply of refreshments and offer to guests; ensure utensils and other kitchen items are cleaned and neat appearance of office is maintained.
  • Scan and photo copy documents as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous experience providing business/commercial cleaning services.
  • Ability to follow verbal directions.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to maintain a reliable schedule and serve in a professional manner.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to reach, stretch, bend and walk during daily routine; ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning products, supplies and cleaning techniques.
  • Oral and written fluency in English required; fluency in French and/or Arabic strongly desired.

 

Education:  At least 2 years of high school required; high school diploma preferred.

 

Working Environment:  Work is typically performed in an office environment.

 

Physical Requirements:  This position requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Travel:  None

 

Work Authorization:  Candidate must be authorized to work in Tunisia.
