Description
The primary function of this position will be to liaise with customers and suppliers to overcome Quality Control issues.
General responsibilities:
– Manage the customer audit cell and ensure that process is followed correctly and process is under control
– Ensure effective communications are maintained throughout the company to continuously improve the Quality standards
– Ensure that all products exceed the expectations of the customers and are made to the correct specifications.
– Support development & maintenance of an effective quality sampling, testing and inspection service to ensure that products meet required specifications and standards.
– Manage the customer complaints process : Communicate directly with the customer until all agreed corrective actions have been completed.
– Manage the complaints process internally to ensure timely investigation and implementation of corrective action.
– Support the Quality Technicians/Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the Quality Management System.
– Conduct audits (Internal/External), including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
– Liaise with Engineering/Production to analyse failure, corrective and preventive action when responding to Customer
complaints.
– Continuously improving QA inspection process and procedures.
– Ability to train & assist across departments and levels (share best practice)
Skills & Competencies:
– Analytical skills and ability and a logical approach
– Project management skills
– Knowledge of systems, ISO 9001, TS16949.
– Demonstrated understanding of quality tools and processes, including automotive core quality tools e.g. FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA
etc
– Demonstrated understanding of improvement tools and processes, including Lean, 5S, Six Sigma
– Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work
-Thorough understanding of problem solving, and process control.
– Ability to influence at all levels
– Organisational skills and a quality, delivery and cost focus

– Good knowledge of manufacturing principles
